Ahmad Al Shahma is a PhD student in the Department of Languages, Information and Communication at Manchester Metropolitan University, funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC). He received his bachelor’s degree in English Language and Literature from Damascus University and master’s degree in TESOL and Applied Linguistics from Manchester Metropolitan University.
